about

Hi! I'm Patricia Aya Williams.

This website is a selective archive of my personal creativity in the areas of poetry, iPhoneography, dance, and style. I'm glad you are here to share it with me!

I grew up as an only child in San Jose, California with my Japanese mom and Caucasian dad. We lost Dad much too soon; he died when I was only eleven. Since then, I have often turned to writing to express myself.

When Mom died in 2019, I began using the first three letters of her first name—Aya, from "Ayako"—as my middle name. It helps me feel close and connected to her.

I enjoy taking photos on my iPhone and using apps to develop my digital mobile art skills. Some of my images have been exhibited and sold. All of the images on my website are created by me.

I love Soul Line Dancing—line dance choreographed to R&B, hip hop, soul, and contemporary hits—and participate in weekly classes. I also love Japanese Obon dancing, performed during summer festivals to honor ancestors and deceased relatives.

Style is an important aspect of my life. In short, I love creating outfits and getting dressed!

After retiring from two diverse careers--flight attendant and public librarian--I am grateful to now have the chance to explore my creativity full-time. My husband and I live with a sweet, rambunctious French Bulldog named Binxy Elton Williams.
